The Photograph, Unedited.

This was taken on my Holga, then scanned in. The title pretty much explains it all.

The Edited Version.

To take the purple out of my image I decided to turn it monochrome as I felt it was the only real way to save the image. Where the flash hit his face is a bit too bright, but other than that I really like the photo.

Textures.

This is something I made whilst studying AS Fine Art. I used a small stick dipped in ink and proceeded to create numerous lines. I then dripped bleach on it in several places, to see what would happen. I find it very fascinating as it has turned some parts of the ink navy.

Here I think I used either part of a dead leaf or flower, dipped in ink and then dabbed across the page. In photoshop I inverted it just to see if I liked the look however I think the original pattern is going to work best. The inverted copy would block out too much of my subject.

This is what the layer over my father looks like when I add both textures together.
